Final Week of the Season!
August 30th, 2011 | LinkWow! How quickly this summer has flown by! Join us for our final week. We are open Tuesday through Friday from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and Saturday, Sunday, and Labor Day (Monday 9/5) from 11:30 am to 9:00 pm. We’ve got Brian Patricks on Thursday 9/1 from 4:00 to 6:00, Jud Caswell on Friday 9/2 from 4:00 to 6:00, Paddy Mills on Saturday 9/3 from 5:00 to 7:00, Broadband on Sunday 9/4 from 4:00 to 6:00, and Jud Caswell again on Monday (Labor Day) from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Come in and enjoy the music!

August 27th, 2011 | LinkDue to the impending arrival of Hurricane/Tropical Storm Irene, we will be closed on Sunday, August 28th. We will reopen on Tuesday, August 30th at 4:00 pm. August 23rd, 2011 | LinkPlease note that our hours have changed. We are open Tuesday through Friday from 4:00pm to 9:00pm, Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 pm to 9:00 pm. We are closed on Mondays. However, we WILL be open on Labor Day! Please call 207.389.1596 if you have any questions about our end-of-season hours.

August 18th, 2011 | LinkYet again, we have a fabulous line-up of music for the weekend! Jud Caswell will be playing from 4:00 to 6:00 on Friday, August 19th. Paddy Mills will be performing from 4:00 to 6:00 on Saturday, August 20th. Married With Chitlins will be on from 5:00 to 7:00 on Sunday, August 21st. Join us in the Shrimp Room for a pint of Maine beer, a glass of wine, or one of Tony’s tasty drink specials!

Mid-July Update
July 13th, 2011 | LinkWhat a terrific summer we are having at The Lobster House! It has been great to see so many familiar faces, we love our long-time customers! We’ve also enjoyed seeing new faces, folks who live in the area but have never ventured down into Small Point, or vacationers who are visiting the area for the first time. Showing Red Sox games on the flatscreen TV at the bar in the Shrimp Room has been a lot of fun for customers and staff alike. We continue to have live music on the weekends (Jud Caswell on 7/15, Married with Chitlins on 7/16, and Broadband on 7/17). Come see us for delicious seafood, cold beer, and a whole lot of fun!

July 7th, 2011 | LinkJoin us for another fantastic weekend of live music at the Lobster House! Jud Caswell on Friday 7/8, Broadband on Saturday 7/9, and Brian Patricks on Sunday 7/10. Tony will be mixing drinks in the Shrimp Room, and we’ll be showing the Red Sox games against Baltimore on all three days. Come in for a hot meal, a cold beer, and lots of fun!

June 19th, 2011 | LinkSchools are out for the summer and we’ve reached the third weekend of June. Do you know what that means? We’re now open full-time! Join us Tuesday through Sunday, 11:30 am to 9:00 pm. We’ll have live music in the Shrimp Room a few nights a week throughout the summer. What Do We Do In The Winter?
August 20th, 2010 | LinkSince The Lobster House is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, customers often ask us what we do during the other three seasons. Many of are staff are students, and will head back to school around Labor Day. Brianna, Alley, Tiffany, Ant, Tim, Matt, Kurt, Rhett, Stephanie, Rob, and CJ are just a few of our staff members gearing up to go back to school. Jeff, Andrew, Sam, Nellie, and Tony will all be working in the Midcoast area. Cindy will head to sunny Florida for the winter months. Kathy will go back to teaching at a Connecticut boarding school. Dawn and Eric return to Utah, where they work for Alta Ski Lift Company. Stop in and visit them at Watson Shelter if you are in the area!

We have folks on staff who were first hired in 2004, 1998, even 1986! In fact, we generally have very little hiring to do at the beginning of each season because most of our staff comes back each summer!

August 11th, 2010 | LinkWe’ve got a great weekend of music coming up at The Lobster House! On Friday, August 13th singer-songwriter Jud Caswell will play for us from 4:00 to 6:00. On Saturday, August 14th we’ll enjoy acoustic tunes from Broadband from 4:00 to 5:00. And on Sunday, August 15th our Utah-based house performers Rob & Kurt will present their final Maine show of the season from 4:00 to 6:00. A Midsummer Update
August 5th, 2010 | LinkAugust is off to a busy beginning! We’ve enjoyed seeing familiar faces and have been thrilled to welcome so many new customers to The Lobster House. Recent highlights have included a graduation party for our own Charles Frederick, a few great evenings with our extended New Hampshire family (the Freemans), and our annual staff trip on the Yankee (pictures to come soon).
Please note that we are hosting a private party the evening of Saturday, August 7th, and that our seating that evening will be extraordinarily limited. Please call ahead before you try to join us that evening. We apologize for any inconvenience.

On Saturday, July 31st we’ll listen to some tunes from our Utah-based house performers, Kurt & Rob. Join us either night for live acoustic music and free appetizers in the Shrimp Room!
Did you know…?
July 14th, 2010 | LinkDid you know about our efforts to be green? We compost our food waste and recycle all of our glass and plastic containers and cardboard. We do a lot of “to go” business, so we use takeout packaging that is made from recycled materials. We are trying to reduce our carbon footprint (and support local businesses) by purchasing produce and flowers from local farmers. Stop in at The Lobster House and let us know you appreciate our efforts!

July 9th, 2010 | LinkWe were so happy to see so many familiar faces and to make so many new friends over Fourth of July weekend! The campgrounds were busy and the locals were enjoying some time off. Annie and Kathy had a great time representing The Lobster House at the Chili-Chowder Fest, which benefitted the Bath SkatePark. TJ and Tony have been having a blast with folks at the bar in the Shrimp Room. Come in and see us…and let us know you saw our website!

April 14th, 2010 | LinkThe time is getting near… Shorts, suntans & sunglasses!! The Lobster house will be opening (Memorial day weekend) Friday, May 28 at 5pm for the summer season. We will be open weekends til June 20th (fathers day). After that, we will be open Tuesday thru Sunday for the rest of the summer. Can’t wait to see all our great friends again. Don’t forget to join us during Red Sox’s games at the bar!
